we received our first grandbaby, Adeline Jean Cory.

We thank the Lord that all of our kids are serving in their local churches!

How is the Gospel continually transforming your life and those around you?
The Psalmist writes “O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill? He who walks blamelessly and does what is right...” The longer I walk with God the more I realize that it is only through the grace of God in Jesus that I can sojourn in His tent and dwell on His holy hill. This simple gospel truth continues to amaze and grip me, and is the driving force behind the ministry God has graciously entrusted to me.
Favorite Movie/TV Show: Kingdom of Heaven/The Middle
Favorite Sport: NFL Football
Favorite Book of the Bible and why: 1 John. It gives us the clearest description of what we are supposed to be. Apart from the grace of God in salvation, no one could pull it off. 1 John is the litmus test for genuine Christianity.

Hobbies/Interest : Spending time with my wife and my family, drumming, traveling, walking/running, golf

What brought you to Grace Bible Church? We were looking for a reformed church in Lawrence County that was preaching expositionally, was Calvinistic, and was practicing biblical church discipline.
How is the Gospel continually transforming your life and those around you?
God’s grace and holiness is a mirror that shows me everyday of my falleness and my righteous because of Jesus. The gospel is the power of God.

Favorite Book of the Bible and why: I & II Corinthians; It shows that even the Early Church had its issues, and yet Paul’s pastoral love never changed for them

Seeking a church that was gospel-focused along with a family atmosphere
How is the Gospel continually transforming your life and those around you?
The gospel contiually humbles me daily. It makes my dependence on myself less and less while my dependence on Christ becomes greater. I hope that this shows in my life to those around me.

Favorite Book of the Bible and why: The Epistles of Paul; I am always encouraged by Paul in how he responded to the many trials he encountered because his life was dedicated to the work of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What brought you to Grace Bible Church?
My husband and I were not attending church. God began a work in both of our hearts and placed us at GBC. God continues to spiritually grow our family both in and through our church.
How is the Gospel continually transforming your life and those around you?
God is continually showing me ways to improve my spiritual life. He speaks to me through Scripture and through others. I am striving to do His will in every aspect of my life.

Favorite Book of the Bible and why: Philippians. It has an overflow of joy and thanksgiving. I can always turn there and be reminded to be joyful in Christ and thankful for everything God has given me in my life, most of all my salvation.
